Glance Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
Zimmer Biomet Great Lakes operates Glance for authorized employees and contractors to coordinate sales accounts, asset requests, inventory, pickups, deliveries and related company workflows. This policy explains how we handle information in the Glance mobile app and the services that support it. Company employment, information-security and business-record policies may also apply to your use of these services.
Information we handle
The information processed depends on your role, permissions and the features you use. It comes from you, your device, company administrators and connected company business systems.
- Work account information: Your name, work email, company and Microsoft account identifiers, and assigned sites, teams, roles and permissions. Your company profile may also contain your job title and work contact number.
- Work activity and records: Accounts, teams, sales opportunities, approvals, assignments, inventory identifiers, RFID and barcode scans, product and serial or lot numbers, quantities, timestamps, verification results, pickup and delivery details, notes and workflow history. Connected records may include facility names, case numbers, surgery dates and surgeon names.
- Sales and financial reports: Where enabled for your account, sales performance, case activity, commission estimates and splits, debits and bulk-buy information supplied by company systems or clearly labeled demonstration data. Access depends on your assigned role and scope.
- Messages and photos: Messages, attachments and photos you choose to send or upload, including images documenting pickups, deliveries or inventory movements. A profile photo you choose in the mobile app is stored locally on your device.
- Location: With device permission, features that let you share a location can obtain your precise current position. Related company delivery and inventory records may also include locations recorded by drivers. Glance does not continuously track your location in the background.
- Device and service information: App version, platform, installation identifier and push-notification token, along with session, connection, error and security information needed to operate and troubleshoot the service. Our network and hosting providers may process your IP address and request information.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate users, apply site and role permissions, assign and complete work, identify and verify inventory, document activity, deliver messages and notifications, provide sales and operational summaries, display authorized financial reports, maintain audit records, support users and protect the service.
Glance does not sell personal information or use it for advertising or cross-app advertising tracking.
Who can receive information
Information is available to authorized company users and administrators as needed for their work and assigned access. Messages and attachments are shared with the selected conversation participants. Work photos and activity records may be visible to authorized colleagues involved in the relevant workflow.
We use Microsoft for company authentication, Cloudflare for hosting and network delivery, and Apple services for iOS push notifications. These providers process information needed to provide and secure their services under their applicable privacy and service terms. They are not given permission by us to use Glance work records for their own advertising. Opening an external company system or map service is also subject to that service's policies.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to investigate misuse, protect people or secure company systems.
Device permissions and saved sign-in
Camera access supports barcode scanning and taking photos. Photo access lets you choose images. Bluetooth and compatible accessory connections support RFID readers. Notifications provide work and message alerts.
You can change camera, photo, Bluetooth, location and notification permissions in your device settings. Features that need a permission may be limited when it is disabled. Disabling a permission stops future access through that permission; it does not delete information already submitted.
If you enable Face ID login, the device authenticates you to unlock saved sign-in information. Glance does not receive or store your Face ID biometric template. Microsoft authentication components manage Microsoft sign-in tokens; the app stores its saved session information in device secure storage. You can disable saved sign-in in the app's sign-in settings. Signing out does not delete submitted company records.
Storage and retention
Glance stores information on your device and in company-managed backend systems. Device storage can include preferences, cached workflow records, your local profile photo and photos waiting to upload. Uploaded work photos and completed activity records are retained on the backend so authorized users can review the work.
Messages and their associated attachments are scheduled to expire from the live messaging service after seven days. This does not apply to photos or notes saved separately as pickup, delivery or other business records. Backups and recipients' separately saved copies may remain longer.
Other account and operational records do not currently have one fixed automatic deletion period. We retain them for company operations, inventory traceability, security, audit and applicable recordkeeping needs. Account deactivation does not automatically erase historical activity. Contact us to request deletion or to ask about the retention of a particular record. Some records may need to be retained for a continuing business or legal requirement.
Your choices and requests
Contact us using the email below to request access to your information, correct inaccurate details, request account deactivation or deletion of personal information, or raise a privacy concern. Use the subject “Glance Privacy Request” and identify the work account and records involved. Do not email passwords or sensitive patient information. We may verify your identity and coordinate with your company administrator before acting on a request.
Glance is a workforce tool and is not intended for children under 13. Only upload information you are authorized to share, and avoid including unnecessary patient-identifying information in photos, messages or notes.
Security and policy changes
Hosted connections use HTTPS. Company sign-in, access controls and device secure storage help protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. Keep your device protected and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
We will update this page when our data practices change and revise the effective date above. Material changes will also be communicated through an appropriate company or app notice.
